HVCH Foundation celebrates successful Bids & Brews Benefit

The Hocking Valley Community Hospital Foundation netted $44,000 during its 2024 Bids & Brews Benefit recently held at The Poston Manor.

Hundreds gathered for a journey “through the decades” themed event with silent and live auction, music, raffles, live Clue game and food and beverages.

“Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Foundation Bids & Brews event this year. It was fun seeing everyone dressed in their ‘decades’ attire and enjoying the evening together,” Stacey Gabriel, HVCH CEO, said. “We are so grateful for the support we receive from the community and appreciate the donations we received as well as those who bid. The funds we raised will be used to support the excellent patient care from our staff and providers.”

Over the past 38 years, the HVCH Foundation’s auction and golf events have raised more than $2 million for charitable purposes at HVCH.

This year’s Bids & Brews Benefit featured more than 60 items in the silent and live auctions. Food was provided by Bob’s Backyard Barbeque and On the Rise LLC, and a beer garden was open throughout the evening. DJ Mike Lamneck of Almighty Sounds provided favorite hits through the decades as the soundtrack to match the night’s theme.

“It was amazing to see this year’s crowd of supporters,” Kyle Walker, HVCH Foundation Board President, said. “There were many familiar faces who have supported in the past as well as newcomers we would love to see return next year. We are so thankful to everyone who donated items for the auction, for our volunteers who helped before and during the event, and for all those who purchased items. We also want to thank the Kilbarger family for donating the use of The Poston Manor for our charitable event. Every donation helps further the Foundation’s mission of supporting our local hospital.”

“The Bids & Brews Benefit is our largest annual fundraiser and one we look forward to every year,” Latricia Johnston, HVCH Chief Public Relations Officer, said. “We’ve seen the incredible impact of our collective efforts and generosity. Together, we make a transformative difference for patients who need care the most.”
