Steffany assisted the hospital in changing the medication dispensation system to increase patient safety. She led the project to obtain new IV pumps for the organization, which involved collaboration with other departments outside of pharmacy. Steffany helps lead the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee and combined it with the Opioid Stewardship team, preserving resources. Steffany also represents the women in leadership team at CPS and serves on the HVCH Foundation Board.
“Steffany knows how to get results. She is a mentor for our new directors. She is always forward thinking with keeps the hospital innovative in the services we offer. We appreciate her enthusiasm for making sure we get the most for our patients, hospital, and community,” Gabriel concluded.
HVCH’s pharmacy department consists of contracted pharmacists and pharmacy techs. The department is responsible for choosing, preparing, storing, compounding and dispensing medications for patients in the hospital.
